There's a fundamental point we're not making progress in, and it's on the topic of how much work is acceptable. I do not want to not be exploited, I do not want to stand for my rights. I want to fuck them over. I want to work less than I am supposed to and get away with it, while still keeping plausible performance (both by setting low expectations by being consistent like I said, and because being good at programming also helps). I am ambitious in terms of how much time of the day I have to myself. I want to be reasonably close to the NEETGOD life without actually being unemployed.

You talk like you are standing up to your bosses and not a good goy, but you are actually doing what they want, which is why they let you do this and still like you. And you are proud of doing a good job for them. Jfl
