As an EMT her technique is several layers of terrible.
Not only is her rhythm completely off and way too fast but her compressions are way too shallow meaning at the depth she's trying to do chest compressions she's not actually pumping any blood, she's not using a proper technique with your hands - you're supposed to place one palm on top of your other hand - meaning she would have to use way more force to even get to the proper depth in the first place which is extremely tiring, and furthermore without having any kind of BVM or pocket mask she's not delivering any new oxygen that she could be pumping through this dudes system anyways
I don't know the back story behind this but she should at LEAST be carrying around a pocket mask for this exact kind of scenario when someone in your care needs CPR. At that point. She should be doing 30 compressions for every 2 breaths. A lot of cops carry AED's these days too. Just being able to administer pocket mask + chest compressions makes a patient far more likely to survive for when the medics shows up with an AED and begin to transport but with god awful CPR like this the dude didn't stand chance. After 10 minutes of being in cardiac arrest there's only an extremely slim chance of survival and good CPR is basically the only thing that makes that chance before the 10 minute mark viable at all. There was a more than 50% chance this guy could've been saved had it been anyone else administering treatment
