I tend to agree. The most that will happen IMO is she might passionately kiss the son's nerdy friend Misato-style right before she goes on her final mission.
I seriously doubt she's going to take the D from anyone, and if she does it will be the ex-husband probably. However, I heard the author has done H-titles before or at least worked on them so who knows.... I'd be fine with it staying as is but I wouldn't mind a nice sex scene before the manga ends. Maybe it's just me but I also got the sense that over the course of the story, I got the impression Maria developed sexual feelings for her deceased son even if only a bit. That makes it even less likely she'll get dicked down... just saying.
