It's too bad the game doesn't run as well as Marina 1. It's the only reason why I don't come back to it more often. I remember the guy who did the EN fan-translations for the series said that Marina 2's engine was giving him problems and it shows. I also feel that Marina's dialogue, especially her internal dialogue, is much better in 1 than 2. The sex scenes and artwork in 2 is much better though.

He does. It's why they shift away from Hiroto and find the porn star at the start of 2 because he's not keeping up with his studies. There's also his side story in 2 where he's begging the Kenji to let him fuck Marina again, only for Marina to not fuck him but also tell him about how mind-blowing the sex with 2's bull is.
It's clear they like Hiroto x Marina since they made two audio eroge that's just the two of them fucking without Kenji knowing. They even bring him back at the beginning of 3 since Kenji wants Marina to start cheating in a more romantic sense in this game. [spoiler] I like 3 but fuck Kenji is fucking retarded
