A good rule of thumb would be "prompt what you can see." In this case a simple "from above" would have gone a long way. Of course you're also prompting on base noob as a newbie but our resident schizo will never tell us how to use it, only shit on people for recommending you switch to either of the two models in the OP to have an easier time.
