this is getting me nostalgic for the era of TGP (thumbnail gallery post) porn sites, where you'd get a shitload of thumbs all linking to other TGP sites, hoping to either loop you in to a paysite or click their ads. I'm sure it was all owned by the same few companies.
And then the same companies owning a dozen or more brands, each catering to a specific niche. Instead of clicking the "anal" section on one megasite you'd go from Paysite A which did "latinas" to Paysite B which did "anal (on a boat)". Why? That turn of the millennium, first half of the noughties era internet had an attitude that more sites = better. It worked back then I guess.
