No, but really. What did they mean by this? We've gotten four of these poignant little moments so far, but what do they really mean?
I've overthought it a couple of times, but it could easily be nothing at all. The new episode five has this weird melancholic energy to it. Especially the scene when Chii takes her clothes off for bath time and tells the candy man (us, the viewer) to step inside. (it strangely feels "too wholesome") + That little monologue from him telling her that he wants to "see her forever" right before the sex begins had me thinking.
Would be funny to see the series take a somewhat hidden deconstructivist approach and see the consequences of this man's constant sexual abuse towards them. Not by cop interference, but rather how the girls would change in behavior, turning them into almost scarily real characters if you were to compare them to real sexually abused children. Like what if they started to cry during the scenes with pain and distress, (trying to press your penis inside a underage girl isn't as easy as the show would have you believe) or attempts to stop him by pushing, hitting, kicking. But that's too "out there" for a hentai, but giving the series the second half of Evangelion treatment would forever cement it in hentai history.
