It's pretty much where I draw the line myself. I like when the girl creates situations where I feel sub (for example what you mentioned with following orders), and uses insulting words for that. I've seen works which specify light/soft M in the titles, and it's the best key word I've found. I think most M-muke stuff is like that but maybe I just learned how to ignore some more extreme stuff really well (it's usually clear from the cover if it's one or the other).
