those would mostly be performers who completely rely on studio work for employment and are at the mercy of producers who keep them hooked on drugs and shit. others who do more independent work (OF, cosplay modeling, etc) in addition to studio stuff tend to be better adjusted in the industry and can dip in and out as much as they need to
