There was a great writing posted by an AB on Fetlife that I really liked. They were talking about why they mess their diapers, and how it's a way for them to take back their agency over their life. That they were graped when they were younger and left with a bunch of mental/emotional trauma as a result. For them, messing is just a way for them to take control of their surroundings, doing what they want despite outside forces saying otherwise.
In a way, it makes sense. I can understand and respect it. Some of us just like the feeling of not caring and have no interest in wearing 24/7. And that's fine, too! I just wish it was more included in convos/discussions.
