The game Buddhists play when you prove them wrong is to suddenly pretend that's not what they believe, so that it's impossible to prove them wrong. Like pretending they aren't a death cult that seeks self-annihilation, while also saying Nirvana is escaping the wheel of reincarnation and worshipping the corpses of monks that intentionally starved themselves to death. I wonder if they got this kind of taqiyya from the Buddha himself or made it up along the way.
