Thanks friend. Im not the most most well read person, so I can't recommend any books. 90% of my knowledge comes from David Finch's youtube channel. Im not particularly into comics, but his videos are a deep well of knowledge of drawing fundamentals and practical advice. I've also learned a lot from his streams from him answering random questions. The other 10% is random youtube videos about drawing fundamentals and word of mouth from the interwebs. Embracing the grind and drawing the boring stuff for the sake of learning is massively important.

One specific thing that I don't see recommended enough is practicing shape manipulation. It really helps with weird poses and foreshortening, and forces you to think in 3d.

As far as my process, I usually start with drawing the torso-bean, then break it down into the ribcage + hips. Ill then draw a center line to help identify what the torso is doing. Then I draw the limbs with some gestural shapes, keeping muscular anatomy in mind. Everything else is just filling it in with simplified shapes that I observe in the reference, or just winging it.
