What I suggest is picking a fairly plain brush but making the opacity, hardness, and size change based on pen pressure
I'm a marker/oil paint user and that's the strat I've found to be the most helpful at replicating the feeling of markers/oil. Aka I'm sure depending on your previous supplies-of-choice it could be altered to fit what you are comfortable with
If you're asking about hacks/application tips I'd go with greyscale (for the values) -> color mapping (for a variety of undertones) -> then refinement (to make it less muddy/add variations mapping didn't do) Then you can mess around with the in-application hues/values/filters if desired
Maybe disregard the previous based on what your goal style is, and instead watch speed draws from people you want to draw like
