Although this is better, I admit I intentionally didn't draw his hands. So obviously this is something I need to work on.

That said, this is the first picture I did since getting a decent tablet and stylus setup so I was actually able to put some conscious effort into line weight and it has made such a huge difference. If you are drawing things with uniform thickness, you're doing yourself a massive disservice. Take the extra time to make some lines a little thicker and add a little ambient occlusion in right corners. It's worth the extra time.
One is the easiest ways to significantly improve a drawing.
