Actually I was just thinking recently
A lot of people don't realize how much Greek, Roman and Indian mythology developed over hundreds of years. Sometimes even 1000 years. Over time it all just blurs together as if every Zeus or Kali myth were invented at the same time.
The reason I'm saying this is because people in 500 or 1000 years might not even see star wars as like "you have the original trilogy and then you have the expanded universe and Disney wars etc." people might just view star wars as one big thing. Like of all the Zeus/jove stories that night may know, who actually goes out of their way to read the Iliad or metamorphoses? people might know about "Luke Skywalker" and "Darth Revan" but not even be familiar with the specific media that they're from because the movies and games will be so aged by that point but the stories will be timeless
