American separation of Hispanics as being non-white basically.
I'll get accused of being a Chicano here, but since most of the ones we get are heavily native-ethnicity from Central and South America it sort of skews our perception. Meanwhile I meet actual Mexicans when studying abroad and they're almost as white as me.
