They always take turns honking, I've seen huge groups like hundreds in trees before, it's kind of funny how they talk if one hadida group interrupts another theres a whole cachophany and then its silence. Mostly they honk while flying to tell others where food are, when theyre on the ground or in the trees theyre quiet
Knysna had the biggest populations of them when I visited, but theyre basically as common as pigeons/seagulls across the whole country
