All of this is absolutely true. The previous generations benefited from exceptionally generous retirement rules that let them leave very early with massive pensions adjusted for inflation while actual salaries have not kept up with inflation.
They also profited massively from a more generous housing market that let them gobble up nearly all properties and new constructions are very rare (still to this day more than 20% of houses are more than 80 years old, 33% outside of big cities). This let them become massive landlords. Nearly every retiree has at least two houses, many more than 3.
And the worst is they absolutely refuse to share any of their wealth with their own family. They don't help their kids get properties, they don't invest for them, they just sit on their money like a dragon and let the younger generation starve.
