Truth be told, he got greedy. If he just carried out the one hit it'd be much harder to track him down right away. I think they would have gotten him eventually. There's just too many cameras and cell phone tracking out there to get away with a high profile hit nowadays.
What are the chances he took his phone with him? It seems like 50/50 with today's criminals. He might have been more experienced than most.
