I don’t want to downplay 9mm too much. It will reliably stop, as will anything, with enough shots. “Enough shots” tends to have more to do with ammo selection (and shot placement, that should be assumed from the start so I shouldn’t have to say it) than the differences between most handgun rounds…but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a meaningful difference also between the best loading of one handgun caliber, and the best loading of another.
I don’t have a problem with 9mm in general, or with people liking 9mm. It’s more about the ridiculous cope and the inability to accept that 9mn might have meaningful disadvantages as well as advantages compared to other calibers.
