Federal’s data sheet on HST is actually like over 15 years old and they’ve never bothered to update it for some reason, this data is more relevant:

.45 HST beats out 9mm and .40 S&W HST on both recovered diameter and penetration through auto glass. In fairness 147 gr HST was later revised for more consistent auto glass penetration, but it also ate an expansion penalty in the process.
The Critical Duty data is outdated but the relationships between the calibers are still similar, so 9mm CD does slightly outpenetrate .45 CD there, but .45 CD is still considerably wider and by no means penetrates shallowly. In Gold Dot G2 the .45 loading again both outpenetrates and outexpands its 9mm and .40 S&W counterparts. I wouldn’t use either brand of JHP over HST though.
.45 also appears to enjoy a reduced degree of deflection through windshields, granted this hasn’t been tested for with these loadings specifically but it’s a general trend with big heavy rounds and has been observed in an older test involving .40 S&W and .45 ACP.
