Performance figures derived form gel testing only provides an overview of how one load performs in relation to another load tested under identical test conditions.
It does not provide any evidence for how each of these load performs against flesh and bone.
Performance figures for factors such as expansion, penetration, and retained weight, tend to differ significantly when identical loads are tested against gel and real tissues respectively.
