Might as well go all out for the tiger stripe. A Desert Eagle is a silly gun, so given the option there is little reason not to go extra silly.

Patents and licensing are a component of it. Manufacturers can't just copy the idea and offer it OEM on their models without a royalty.
Liability is a factor if it creates a safety issue where some idiot doesn't understand how it works/NDs into someone else and goes after the manufacturer (even if it is their fault and they lose the case, fighting it can cost millions). It's one thing for the trigger to be an aftermarket accessory, but another if it comes installed from the factory.
Then there's just the regulatory risk. ATF likes to play red light/green light with how they interpret the laws they enforce, especially when you get a sweeping political shift between Democrat and Republican run administrations. They have adopted things like arm braces and "firearm" shotguns after somebody takes the risk and comes out of it ok. The risk in question is getting raided and losing your license. Even if it is temporary that stops everything dead in its tracks and at that point the company is hemorrhaging money daily for weeks or months. Rolling the dice on legally "gray" features like that can kill the entire company overnight if it backfires AND result in federal prison time for whoever made the call to do so.

Looks like a Blackhawk.
