And I can tell you with confidence from experience that the main anti-spam considerations for a new wiki are exactly these things:
1. login requirement and restricted accounts
2. active admins to deal with spam that gets through
3. weirdass wiki software nobody uses (mediawiki gets targeted immediately)
It's a bit of a dilemma.
Things would be so much better if malicious actors like russia and jeets were cut off the internet.
