State police was deployed at Morro do Alemão and Penha. This one had Ukrainian style drones, as well as the usual .50 BMG tracers and choppers.
Current stats, as we know it:
- 4 policemen killed. 2 detectives and 2 BOPE agents.
- 1 detective shot in the head in critical state.
- 64 cartel members killed.
- 81 cartel members arrested.
- 75 full automatic rifles apprehended.
The main target of the operation was the cartel boss ""Belão do Quitungo". He was arrested without resistance.
