if every ppk had a 13lb trigger then I probably wouldn't mind it, I have a beretta 84 with a ~11lb trigger and it's fine. it's the prospect of getting a trigger that's any heavier than that. 17lb would really suck even if it's mostly at the start of the pull. I guess I'll just have to try one out in a gun store.

yeah you can of course avoid the issue at the range but I'd like to potentially make it my carry gun.

I do too, but the 8lb trigger pull on my D spring beretta 92 is safe enough for me, any more than about 10lb is more than necessary for safety IMO. but again I'll just have to see what it's like in real life, numbers on a screen don't always tell the whole story
