The US will do everything in its power to not have this happen. Contrary to vatnigs and their shills constant screaming about muh West is trying to destroy muh glorious Russia, the US doesn't want to have to worry about vatnigs selling nukes to anyone with cash, and all their scientists and engineers running to whatever country will pay them the most for their knowledge. Nor does the US want to give them billions of USD to help their economy and pay to clean up/decommission Russia's nuclear fuck-ups, and even more billions in humanitarian aid like we had to when the USSR collapsed, and during WWI and WWII. The US wants to give just enough to depleted Russia's military and stagnant it for decades, and to force them to go the fuck home and stop invading sovereign countries.
