The value of Pokrovsk depends on which directions the russians want to go next. It isn't the toughest nut to crack in Donbabwe, not even close, but they could just go west towards Pokrovske in Dnipropetrovsk oblast. If you look west of Vuhledar, the Ukrainians have not been able to stop the russians there ever since the hyperfortress fell, they've been consistently creeping that direction for 70 kilometers. It's all fields, hard to defend, and represents most of the territorial gains the zigs keeps boasting about.
