M193, m855, and most OTMs are all yaw based designs. They fragment when they hit high yaw while passing through a dense medium. Assuming your impact velocity is adequate the terminal ballistics should be pretty much identical to the normal shots with a short neck to the wound cavity minus the neck. You might end up with some weird shots where the rounds happen to hit butt or nose forward though.
