I'll never understand "save the West" types converting to Eastern Orthodoxy. It has all the doctrinal problems of Rome, plus a bunch of Eastern mysticism sprinkled in. I suppose seeing the pope parade around in a rainbow-colored stole, and kissing the feet of Muslim immigrants, while simultaneously telling a generation of young people who struggle to find good jobs and house themselves that that it's a moral imperative for them to accept more immigrants is the main driving factor. That and the fact that Protestantism is so splintered, and megachuch grifters like Joel Osteen are some of the dominant forces. Not to mention dispensational theology that places unbelieving Jews above Christians.
Anyway, just bizarre that EASTERN mystic stuff from swarthy men with wispy beards is what draws in the "we must save the nations of our forefathers" types. Not in a million years would some serb in a dress draw me in. People need to read from Genesis to Revelation and form their own theological ideas before committing to any one theological ideology. "It looks based, bro" is no reason to join a specific church.
