web novel can just be a normal novel, doesn't have to be anime/manga stuff like you described. I'm basically just writing mine like it was a normal novel, I'm not bothering with trad or selfpub and just putting it out there. Just want to tell a standalone one and done story, maybe down the line I might make a continuation a la Messiah or Children of Dune but I'm putting everything I always wanted to tell in one story and finishing it.
