does your router have a DMZ function? you can use it to give your console a more direct path to the internet, might even be enough to be detected as NAT type 1
it's generally less fiddly than trying to set up port forwarding. But if you're worried about security, then keep DMZ turned off but try toggling uPNP off and then on if you have that option.
