Go was indeed a clone in Arc's anime - he was sent back in time by Emperor to ensure its own existence by helping the Arc team out. This is exactly why people are hoping for Noir to be in Y, because Tarak is anime-original content that is already written with Noir in mind. (For reference, Noir has a similar black-and-red colour scheme for that team's Getters, and the pilots have the same origin)
