Destiny ended its plot already in DD.
The biggest issue is that Shinn and Kira who already have some of the best units in the game would temporarily go on to have new units that legit cannot reuse their Destiny/Strike Freedom weapons and people would have their heads for the obvious cash grab when they have the units replaced by spec II/type 2 which SHOULD be able to reuse the old weapons.
I guess the solution is to completely skip Immortal Justice and Rising Freedom.
