Gundam was more popular with American kids in the 1990s compared to today. Wing is responsible for that. And when they brought back Dragonball with Super, it was one of the most popular animes of all time. You had entire stadiums in Mexico being rented out to stream Dragonball episodes. Entire town were projecting the Super episodes with projectors in the town square.
