They could do it to start the next episode, and make plenty of edits just so that they can feel Oto's presence as Sumino's replacement. But I also have a feeling they will give Oto special treatment explicitly for story reasons, like she will always wear the Ryoutegasword Ring just so that the Calamity's residual energies won't hold her back in combat.
