I only really need to point to one: the toys just fucking suck. 2015 is where Sentai's decline began and it's also around the point where Bandai's robot toy designers stopped being able to make robot toys that looked good or were fun to play with. It took them until Donbrothers to realize that kids like it when their toys have more joints than a shoulder swivel, and unsurprisingly, Donbrothers is one of the very few cases in the past decade where sales went up at all. It was just too late by then, because by that point toylines like Shinkalion were on the scene offering a better product at the same price point.
These two toys cost the same amount of money. Which one looks more appealing to kids? That's why Sentai's dead.
