i sorta appreciate that they never had much background to them in the actual show compared to other creatures cultures at least before they tasted the rainbow
not knowing concretely a good deal about changelings adds a lot to their mystique
like the hippogryphs, their culture and species was almost done to death in the show at least in my eyes
changelings only really got the one or two glimpses into what their hive was before it exploded
and then their culture and practices sorta fell into a warped emulation of pony society
but i suppose thats apt given their nature as shape shifters
could even be seen as an accidental allusion to the repercussions of colonization on the colonized by the late season writers lol
