It's objectively more cumbersome. A car allows you to get somewhere without exerting physical energy on it, if you go to work that requires manual labor of any kind, that is preferable, as you are saving your energy for your work rather than wasting it on the commute. A bicycle only makes sense if you are a NEET who only goes outside to buy tendies at the store or if you are an office worker who lives in the same city as his job.
