My father (who I never met) was and is in a band and his side of the family is full of musicians, but I was raised by my (single) mother and nobody on her side gives a shit about music. I play everything... I guess it's in my blood -- my mother didn't even tell me about him being in a band until after I had taken guitar lessons for a couple years.
