The average yearly mileage in the US is 15 000. If we divide that with 250 which is around the amount of workdays in a year we get 60 miles. And that's with no vacations and no road trips adding distance. Even if you had the 60 mile commute being able to add 40 miles overnight is enough that you'll have to fast charge during lunch about once a week. Wow. A huge fucking issue. In reality the people living in cities (where you have to rely on parking garages and can't install faster chargers on your own house) have shorter commutes so they don't even need as much mileage daily. And with the average daily commute of 40 miles you'll never have to charge outside home on a normal basis.

Even if they were all using 25 W fast charging it'd be 1.5 kW. That's less than my stovetop is drawing. That's less than my computers are drawing under load. As long as everyone brings an extension cord with them it's going to be fine.
