I think the only time I've gotten a ticket in my 18 years of riding was from a cop that never mentioned whether or not he had a bike too.
The cops with bikes at home let me off of so much shit it was unreal. Hell, even the two ambo drivers that responded to me being t-boned told me bikes are dangerous, then find out one had a Hardley and the other a GSX1400. The cop that turned up to write the report owned a Busa lmfao.
I was overwhelmed at how many of them owned bikes in their line of work. Maybe it's an NZ thing.
