I’ve been riding since I was 17. When I first met my wife I told her right away that I own a bike and I’m grandfathered in so no matter what happens she can’t tell me that I can’t own one. Years later married with young kids I sold my bike and was without a bike for a year. I realized I needed one now more than ever and she had absolutely no problem when I said I was buying a new one. I took out a large term life insurance policy and ride with self preservation in mind which means mostly riding empty backroads and dirt roads in the middle of nowhere with speeds rarely ever exceeding 70mph.
