There's also plenty of chink brands. My current ones are from one of those short-lived amazon brands that was called "sheep run", for example. They don't seem to be around anymore, but there's other ones now. 100% merino except for the rubber band on top. Varusteleka alo has some.

Dunno about trump-era american prices, but I've never paid more than 20€ for unbranded chink stuff here in europe, and the (also chink made) brand-name underwear tends to be around 30€.
