i love autumn, it's my favorite season, but i spend a lot of time /out/ in the mountains and alpine autumn feels even shorter than alpine spring... like a week or two lol. it gets a lot harder having to worry about snow on roads and avvy danger. i'd like to do an autumn or early winter overnight this year anyway, i'll probably just stick to a lower elevation even though my gear should be good down to 10F or so.
