This was indeed part of the propaganda. Forgot to mention it. Of course it is complete bs and goes totally against the message of Jesus. You cannot believe both that the Jews are chosen and that Jesus is your savior. They are directly contradictory ideas. This is why Jews killed Jesus and hate Christians to this day.
