One time my buddy was being all sad me because he had to breakup with his gf. She was constantly coming over to his house high out of her mind causing scenes like fiending for more drugs or literally od'ing and having an ambulance take her. And I wasn't rude when I said this buddy but I reach a point when he was talking about getting back with her if she got clean but I did sort of snap:
>'It's not enough to be her partner, you also have to be her leader'
Sort of implying that it doesn't matter if she's clean rn or not. If we really cared for her, he'd have MADE her get clean and stayed with her. I left that unsaid but I think he understood what I meant.
