The only thing that has ever worked to correct such issues is violence. "If we can't get them to leave, we can make them flee instead." But it is just not going to happen. Mostly because of all the 'friendlies' one would need to kill just to reach the enemy. Government, police, military, you name it. To do what is necessary to fix these problems, one would need to have many, many allies, and would necessarily destroy everything that makes the country functional, not to mention instantly make it a pariah state subject to foreign invasion.
Better to take solace that one day you will eventually die. Or to hope we are obliterated by an asteroid.
