America has been conditioned by 24 years worth of conspiracy porn since 9/11. The default position will be that anything nasty that happens to us is a false flag.
My recommendation to the government is for them to send any foreign fuckstick who approaches them for permission to execute such an attack on American soil packing. And to publicize the attempt. If the plan comes from a domestic source, fire them and also publicize their attempt. This would go a long way in restoring trust in the government.
