The best position ive heard on the pictures being not 100% legitimate is that people did not carry cameras on them
So, when they discovered the camps, they freed them, went back to get a camera, and got them to pose
Ofc everything might not hold to this rule, but a lot of posed pictures like the one in OP could potentially be explained by it
This is ofc highly biased in favor of the holocaust happening and doesnt explain a lot of absent evidence from german sources collaborating the plan that I hear about (havent really looked into any of it on my own)
